ALLOA have been hit with another injury setback as Cameron O’Donnell is set to spend a period of time on the sidelines.

The attacker suffered an injury in training on Thursday, September 26, which will keep him out the team for an uncertain duration.

This injury comes as a blow for both the club and O’Donnell, who had turned in positive displays in recent weeks across a number of positions in Alloa’s attacking line.

Commenting after the Montrose game, Andy Graham said: ““I’m looking down that bench today and I’m a lot more confident.

“Cammy got an injury on Thursday night which is a blow for him. He’s done really well the last few games and we’re all gutted for him.

“It was a bit of an accident and we’ll get a scan on that and we’ll see how he is.

“The fact that there is a lot of quality on that bench is really pleasing for me and that’ll hopefully stand us in really good stead going forward.”

With O’Donnell now out, Alloa’s injury tally rises to three, with the 23-year-old joining Kurtis Roberts and Calum Waters on the sidelines.

Roberts was reported to be recovering from osteitis pubis, while Waters has been fighting off a dead leg for the last three weeks.

“He’s not far off,” Graham added. “It’s probably been one of the worst dead legs I’ve seen in a long time.

“It’s bruising all the way from his thigh down so it’s just taking a bit longer to clear it all but Cal’s doing his best to get back.

“It’s about making sensible decisions as well – it’s a long season but that’s why we’ve got a squad, to utilise players to come in when someone’s injured.

“They more than do that.”
