ALLOA RFC rang the changes as they suffered a heavy defeat on the road to Howe Crusaders.
The Clacks side travelled to Cupar with seven changes in their lines from the team that secured an opening day win last week.
Alloa started slowly and conceded the first try in just the second minute, with the hosts well on top in the opening quarter.
They deservedly scored a second try before Alloa eventually began to put together some phases, leading to a good handling move which was finished by Joe Viggers.
Gary Taylor was next to break free, pull in the last defender and play in Rab McCran for Alloa’s second try of the afternoon.
Alloa kept up their pace and won a penalty from Martin McKenzie’s mazy run, giving the visitors the lead for the first time that afternoon.
Howe struck last before the break however, winning a penalty which they slotted away with ease, sending both sides into the interval with scoring tipped in the hosts favour at 15-13.
Alloa started poorly in the second half, leading Howe to be all over them and giving the visitors an uphill battle.
Howe capitalised on Alloa’s switch off and put the result to bed in the second half – Alloa tried hard for a consolation try but could not break through.
Alloa now turn their attention to the visit of Madras Rugby on Saturday, with a 3pm kick off set for Earlsfield.
