BOBBY WALES scored his first goal for Kilmarnock on Thursday night, a pivotal equaliser in their Europa Conference League qualifier.

The youngster poked home Killie's second goal of the night, bouncing off the post as they found an equaliser in the first leg clash against Tromso.

This was Wales' first goal for his boyhood club, following on from an impressive loan spell at Alloa last season.

Speaking to BBC Sport Scotland, Wales explained how special a moment this was for him and his family.

"If I could write a game to get a goal," he said. "It would be like that with my dad watching on Killie TV and my mum and my girlfriend in the stand.

"It's an important goal going into next week as well but to have it in a European competition with my first, and only, touch of the ball as well.

"I'm really happy with that."

Wales was brought to Alloa by Brian Rice during the start of last season, going on to score 12 goals in 27 appearances as the Wasps attempted to gain promotion to the Championship.
