FRASER DUNCAN has continued his preparations for the new season as he nails down another midfielder for his squad.
The boss has been snapping up as many players as he could from the existing squad to carry into the upcoming season.
Now, a contract extension has been announced for Jack Fisher, with the midfielder now confirmed to be staying until 2025.
The club confirmed this announcement with a post on their social media, stating: “Sauchie Juniors are delighted to confirm that midfielder Jack Fisher has signed a new one year contract with the club, taking him to the end of the 2024-25 season.”
Fisher is a product of Sauchie’s youth academy and spent most of last season on the sidelines, awaiting an opportunity to show what he is made of.
The youngster grabbed each chance and hugely impressed Duncan, who hailed his attitude and hunger, calling on him to nail down a regular spot in the team.
He said: “Jack has been superb the last few months, his hunger and patience waiting for his chance have been excellent.
“He’s had to be patient but I wanted it to be the right time for him. Now, he has got a huge part to play going forward and his attitude has been first class.
“He’s been at the club for years now; I always knew he would break through. He’s done that now and it’s about holding that position to keep his game going forward.”
