A DOLLAR netball team has received new kits and a trip to the Emirates in Glasgow thanks to a charitable donation.
The Strathdevon Netball Team, who play every Thursday, enjoyed the trip to watch the Strathclyde Sirens, Scotland’s only professional netball team.
The Sirens were taking on the Severn Stars, based in the University of Worcester, on Saturday May 11.
While the Sirens would lose the match, the experience proved to be an unforgettable experience for the group of girls.
This trip was made possible due to a donation from Richard Campbell, owner of Lateral DX in Alloa, who funded new kits and paid for the trip.
Jane Scott, Strathdevon Netball coach, said: “We can’t thank Richard enough.
“The whole team and parents went to Glasgow Emirates to watch Scotland’s only professional netball team play the Severn Stars.
“Unfortunately they lost but it was a great experience and the girls met the players afterwards.”
Strathdevon Netball now look ahead to their next match against Fossoway Primary School.
