A WEE COUNTY sports club celebrated their 90 year anniversary a couple of weeks ago, drawing in big crowds at a sell out event.
Alloa Rugby Club marked the occasion with a big party to commemorate nine decades of being in operation.
The club was founded in 1931, with original plans to celebrate in 2021 being put on hold by the Covid pandemic.
The club organised a big party at Dunmar House Hotel inviting players past and present, members, friends and supporters.
The Club president Alan Stewart welcomed the guests for the evening, Scottish Rugby president Colin Rigby and Scotland legend Gavin Hastings.
They in turn thanked Scottish international Grant Gilchrist, who started his career at Alloa RFC and has most recently featured for his country at the Rugby World Cup, for his kind donation of two Scotland strips for the evening raffle.
Ewan Duncan, an old friend of the club, then provided the tunes as part of Europa Music, keeping everyone entertained until the evening drew to a close.
