THREE police officers suffered minor injuries after they were assaulted during an incident at Stirling Railway Station.
Five people have been arrested as a result of the incident, which took place on the evening of Friday, March 12.
An urgent witness appeal has been launched by British Transport Police (BTP) in relation to the assaults, which happened around 10.30pm.
According to BTP, officers were alerted to a “large group of youths congregating” at the station's car park.
A BTP spokesman said: “The officers approached the group and asked them to leave before several members of the group assaulted the officers.
“Three officers received medical treatment, but thankfully only sustained relatively minor injuries.
“Five people have been arrested in connection to this incident.
“Officers are keen to hear from anyone who may have witnessed the incident.”
