MOTORISTS driving on the A84 through Callander are being urged to plan ahead with road surface works planned from tomorrow night.
Two section of the road will be benefiting from an improved road surface with the works set to go ahead from Sunday, February 28.
The £470,000 of improvements will see more than 1.2km of the A84 resurfaced.
Eddie Ross, representative for BEAR Scotland North West which will carry out the works, said: “The traffic management is essential for the safety of our teams and motorists, however we have taken steps to minimise disruption by carrying out the majority of the works overnight.
“We thank motorists for their patience in advance and would also encourage them to plan ahead before setting out by checking the Traffic Scotland website for up to date travel information.”
Expected to last around three weeks, the works will take place over three phases.
In the first phase, which is set to be complete by Sunday March 7, the works will centre around the south end of the A84 in Callander.
A 10mph convoy system will be in place between 7pm and 7am each night during the works.
From Monday, March 8, the works will shift to the north end and will last for a week.
The convoy system will again be in place overnight.
From Wednesday, March 17, the works will focus on road markings for two nights and two-way temporary traffic lights will be in place between 7pm and 7am.
Traffic management will be removed outwith working hours.
