A MAN has been airlifted to hospital today after being found on the hard shoulder of the motorway near Stirling.
Emergency services were called to the scene between junctions 9 and 10 of the M9 in the early afternoon of Monday, February 15, following a report for concern for a person.
The road was closed off while officers and medics attended the scene and re-opened at around 2pm.
A spokeswoman for Police Scotland said: “Officers were called to a report for a concern for person on the M9 between junction 9 and 10 around 12.40pm this afternoon, Monday, February 15, 2021.
“A man was found on the hard shoulder with serious injuries and has been taken by air ambulance to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow for treatment.
“The road was closed for a few hours and re-opened around 2pm.
“Enquiries are continuing."
