A FESTIVE fundraiser is back for 2024 as a community group will be selling Christmas wreaths in support of a children’s charity.
The Friends of CHAS Clackmannanshire have announced they are handcrafting wreaths again, with all profits going to the Children’s Hospices Across Scotland.
This fundraiser proved hugely successful in 2023, prompting the charity hold the initiative again.
Marion Riddell, committee member for Friends of CHAS Clackmannanshire, has called on the community to help where they can.
“It was quite successful so we’ve decided to do it again,” Marion said. “In support from not only the local community in Muckhart but wider in Clackmannanshire which is super.
“All the profits go to CHAS and we’re really grateful from any support from the community.

“It’s a really important cause and we recognise that it’s difficult for people with hard times just now.”
The group, which formed last year, will be creating their own Christmas wreaths for people to purchase.
Friends of CHAS Clackmannanshire is an offshoot of the main charity and hold various fundraisers through the year for the cause.
CHAS is currently the only service in the country which offers support for babies, young people and children with a life-shortening condition.
“If people are thinking of buying a wreath anyway, this is a brilliant way of supporting CHAS at the same time.
“We’d welcome any support at all.”
The group can deliver their wreathes in addition to collection, with orders able to be placed by calling Marion on 07778 555229.
