UPDATE: The tree has now been cleared and services are running again.
A TREE has fallen on the main railway line between Alloa and Glasgow, with services expected to be hit with delays and alterations.
Storm Bert continues to wreak havoc on the country, with heavy winds knocking a tree down on the line between Glasgow Queen Street and Bishopbriggs.
The main line to Alloa travels along this route, with ScotRail confirming that services will be faced with delays while they work to clear the debris.
A ScotRail post read: "We've had reports of a tree blocking the line between Glasgow Queen Street and Bishopbriggs so until this is cleared services will be subject to delays, alterations and cancellations.
"Network Rail Scotland have been mobilised and will arrive on site shortly to look into this."
