Train services have been confirmed between Alloa and Glasgow Queen Street on Boxing Day.
ScotRail has extended its service to include more areas over the Christmas period, including Alloa.
A ScotRail spokesman said that the expansion of the Boxing Day service is to support more travel over the festive season.
This year’s Boxing Day timetable also includes services to and from Perth, Dunblane, and between Glasgow and Edinburgh, with services from Edinburgh to Dundee also running for the first time on Boxing Day.
ScotRail has also provided details on services over Christmas and New Year.
The last trains of the day will depart earlier than usual on both Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve, and there will be changes to train times over the holiday period.
No trains will be in operation on Christmas Day or New Year’s Day.
A normal service will be in place from December 27 to December 30.
The complete Christmas timetable is available on the ScotRail website.
To support the night-time economy, ScotRail will be running additional late-night weekend trains on key routes, and extra carriages will be added to trains across the country each weekend leading up to Christmas.
ScotRail’s December timetable change is scheduled for December 15, with minor changes expected.
Phil Campbell, ScotRail customer operations director, said: "This is always a special time of year for people whether they’re visiting family and friends, shopping, or going on nights out, so we are delighted to be able to provide extra seats and extra services for customers to do that.
"In the past, we have only been able to run trains in the Strathclyde area on Boxing Day, but this year we have been able to significantly extend that and deliver more trains than ever before, including services to and from Arbroath, Leven, Dundee, Perth, Dunblane, Alloa, and between Glasgow and Edinburgh.
"We’re encouraging everyone to plan ahead and check their journey on the ScotRail app or website before they set off as there may be minor amendments to some train times in our timetable change on December 15."
