MORE than £1000 was raised for two community groups as part of a ceilidh last week.
Donald Cowan, who volunteers at both groups, organised his fundraiser to show support for Strathcarron Hospice and Sauchie Community Group.
The ceilidh went ahead on Friday, November 15 at the Sauchie Hall, raising a total of £1270 in the process.
“It was a great night of music and dancing in a packed hall,” Donald said. “Music was provided by the ever popular Furry Boots Ceilidh Band.”
The total sum will be divided between the two groups, with each receiving £635 to their cause.
Donald added that he would like to thank everyone who attended and donated the prizes for the raffle.
