RESIDENTS in Kincardine are invited to share their thoughts on proposals for a new substation in the town.
Scottish Power Energy Network (SPEN) put forward plans to build an up-to-date substation just north of Hawkhill Farm in Kincardine.
As part of their plans, Scottish Power are hosting a consultation meeting to hear residential feedback on the substation.
A public notice read: "Scotland is producing more clean, green energy than ever before and we need to strengthen the transmission network so we can get it to the homes, schools and businesses that need it.
"To help make this happen, we need to build a new substation just north of Kincardine in Fife - close to where existing overhead lines cross each other at Kilbagie.
"We will also need to alter the overhead lines slightly to connect them to the proposed new Kincardine North substation.

"We consulted local people about our initial plans in June 2024. We are now asking for comments on our more detailed plans for the substation, overhead line works and temporary access proposals, to help us develop the project in the best way."
Members of the public are urged to head along to the public exhibition to see the plans in further detail.
This will be held on Wednesday, November 27 from 2pm to 7pm at Kincardine Community Centre.
Alternatively, the plans can be viewed and comments can be left on the website at spenergynetworks.co.uk/pages/kincardine_north_substation.aspx.
