A WEE COUNTY artist is set to showcase his work to a new audience as he opens his first Edinburgh-based exhibition.
Kyle Blain, from Clackmannan, has opened an exhibition in the Scottish capital, with his work now being shown off in Loud & Clear.
The Edinburgh music shop approached Kyle after seeing photos of his work online, offering the youngster the chance to put his art up in his store.
Speaking to the Advertiser, Kyle was brimming with excitement at the chance to have his art shown off in Edinburgh.
He said: “One of the people who work in Loud & Clear saw my artwork in the Alloa Advertiser and asked me to come out in Leith.
“That’s what I’ve always wanted to do, put my work out there and try and broaden my horizons.

“It’s a hi-fi audio and speaker shop in Edinburgh, my music work fits in quite nicely with the background there and it’s all pretty cool.”
Kyle's work was first installed on Saturday, November 16 and is expected to run until January.
This is the latest in a series of exhibitions that Kyle has hosted as his career has grown in recent years.
Most recently, Kyle held an exhibition in Sterling Mills, Tillicoultry while he also hosts a permanent work space in Clackmannan.
He showcased his work in the Clackmannan Town Hall for one day in 2023, while the Sterling Mills event was held across six days.
“It’s really exciting,” Kyle continued. “A lot of my work fell into place when I was at Loud & Clear.
“My music work will be on show there and also some of my animal prints too.”

Currently in his fourth year at Glasgow School of Art, Kyle spends his free times volunteering at schools across the Wee County.
The budding artist hosts various workshops and pop-up sessions in schools, hoping to teach the next generation of painters.
He recently had a dream come true as Paolo Nutini offered him the chance to work on art projects with him.
The Paisley-born singer caught wind of Kyle’s artwork and invited him backstage during one of his gigs, signing his work and saying he hoped to work with him in the future.
Kyle’s artwork can be viewed and purchased at kyleblainart.com.
