THOUSANDS descended on Alloa’s West End Park for the annual fireworks display last weekend.
Sparks in the Park was back for 2024, bringing with it a fantastic display of impressive and colourful fireworks.
The annual light show went ahead on Saturday, November 2 to mark Bonfire Night in Clacks, drawing in a 4000-strong crowd.
Robert Morgan, fireworks coordinator for Sparks in the Park, spoke to the Advertiser about this year's event.
“It went without a hitch,” Robert said. “All the other guys and volunteers have been doing it for years so it all went smoothly.
“It was a pretty good turnout, we had around 3500 to 4000 down at the park and we’ve had really good feedback.

“Everyone’s been saying it was a really good show and we’re aiming to try and keep it up for the community.”
The event is organised each year by Alloa Round Table, who use the money raised to distribute between local groups and charities.
Robert continued: “Any money we make is put into our funding pot so anyone in the area can apply to the Round Table for funding.
“If it’s successful, it’s divided up between everybody and it’s good for local groups.”
The event continues to be as popular as ever and in previous years has drawn in crowds from across the country and the world.
Robert reflected on attendees coming from as far as Dundee and Canada for Alloa’s famous fireworks show.
He added: “We have people travelling from far away and we’ve had people visiting from really far round.
“Everyone enjoyed it and feedback has been so overwhelming and really positive.”
