A CEILIDH is to be held to raise funds for two organisations making a profound impact in the Wee County.
Donald Cowan has organised the big traditional dancing night out to gather donations for Strathcarron Hospice and the Sauchie Community Group.
A volunteer with both groups, Donald has set a date for Friday, November 15 for his ceilidh and is appealing to the community to join in.
“It’s set to be another great night and fund for all the family,” Donald said. “Tickets are going like hot cakes so I would encourage everyone to get them while they can.”
The Furry Boots Ceilidh Band will be on hand to provide music throughout the evening, with traditional Scottish tunes expected.

This is the latest in a number of events that Donald has hosted over the years in support of various charitable organisations.
He has selected Strathcarron and the Sauchie Community Group owing to his personal connection to both, but also for the invaluable work they do in Clacks and beyond.
He added: “Holding an event like this is a fantastic way to raise vital funds to support both organisations.
“They both rely heavily on donations to continue and develop their work.”
Tickets cost £12 and can be bought by contacting Donald on 07714 756 274. There will be a pay bar but attendees are invited to bring their own nibbles.
