A MAN has been arrested following a disturbance at a Wee County doctors surgery.
Alva Medical Practice shut early on Monday, October 21, citing an emergency situation in a Facebook post.
The practice closed its doors at around 4pm following the incident, redirecting patients to Tullibody Medical Practice or NHS 24 for urgent enquiries.
Police Scotland confirmed to the Advertiser that a 61-year-old was arrested in connection with the incident.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “A 61-year-old man has been arrested and charged following a disturbance at West Johnstone Street, Alva which happened around 3pm on Monday, October 21, 2024.
“A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.”
Alva Medical Practice confirmed that they had cancelled all afternoon patient appointments due to the emergency.
Their post on Facebook read: “The practice in Alva is currently closed due to an emergency situation having taken place in the waiting area.
“Our phones are currently diverted and we are unable to accept any incoming calls.
“All remaining afternoon appointments in Alva are cancelled.
“If you require urgent medical advice, or are awaiting a call back today, please call NHS 24 on 111 or attend A&E if you feel this is necessary.
“Many thanks and apologies for the inconvenience caused.”
