ONE of the world's rarest phenomena could be seen in the skies above Clacks last week.
The aurora borealis, commonly known as the northern lights, were visible high above the Ochils on Thursday, October 11.
The result of solar flare activity towards Earth, this is the latest in a series of sightings in Scotland.
The northern lights are usually only visible in the far north, commonly visible in Iceland, Sweden, Finland and Greenland.
In the Wee County, two local photographers managed to capture the lights on show during Thursday evening and have shared their pics with the Advertiser.
