A FAMILY has paid tribute to the victim of the fatal Kellie Place explosion in Alloa last week.
Emergency services responded following reports of a blast at a block of flats in the centre of town on Sunday, October 6.
Graham Green, 50, was killed in the explosion while three others were taken to hospital for minor injuries.
Formal identification has yet to take place, but Police Scotland released a photo confirming the victim as Mr Green.
His family have now taken to social media to thank everyone for their kind words over the past week.
Betty Green posted: “On behalf of me and my family, it is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Graham Green (Greenie).
“We want to thank all of the emergency services involved during this tragic event.
“The family and I would also like to thank everyone for their overwhelming support and condolences at this difficult time.
“Sláinte Mhath Graham.”
Louise Johnston added: “Thank you to all emergency services and support from everyone during this tragic time.”
The cause of the blast is yet to be determined, with SGN confirming that their gas mains was not linked with the explosion.
Police Scotland are still carrying out investigations, adding that the death is currently being treated as unexplained.
Chief inspector Kat Thompson, area commander, said: “ Our thoughts remain with the family and friends of Graham and all those affected at this difficult time.
“Our enquiries, alongside partner agencies, to establish the full circumstances of what happened, remain ongoing.
“A police presence will remain in the area and I would like to thank the local community for their understanding and support.”
