A 36-year-old man, who was in possession of a knife in Alloa, has been put on a ‘tag’.

Mark Todd, of Erskine Place, Clackmannan, appeared for sentencing at Alloa Sheriff Court.

He admitted that on July 29 at Shillinghill, Alloa, he was in possession of a knife.

The court heard Todd has a previous conviction for a similar offence.

Defence solicitor Gino Gambale said his client has had a history of drug and alcohol addiction problems and was intoxicated at the time of the offence.

Sheriff Neil Bowie imposed a 140-day restriction of liberty order and a community payback order with six months of supervision.
