As emergency services respond to a fire and explosion in Alloa this evening, details behind the incident are slowly becoming clearer.
The incident at Kellie Place has seen a number of road closures nearby and police are advising people to avoid the area.

When did the explosion happen?
The explosion happened at around 6pm on Sunday, October 6, 2024.
How much damage did the explosion do?
Pictures from the scene show that the entire roof and upper floor of the house in Kellie Place has gone, and part of the roof belonging to the adjoining property has also been destroyed.

What are Scottish Fire and Rescue Service saying?
"We were alerted at 6.00pm on Sunday, 6 October, to multiple reports of an explosion and a fire within a house in Kellie Place, Alloa.
“Operations Control immediately mobilised a number of resources to the scene including specialist Urban Search and Rescue units and a heavy rescue unit.
“Crews are working with emergency service partners to make the area safe.”
What are Police Scotland saying?
"Around 6pm on Sunday, October 6, 2024, police received a report of an explosion and a fire at a house in Kellie Place, Alloa. Emergency Services are on the scene. Please avoid the area. Several Roads are closed.
What roads have been closed?
Police initially confirmed that the following roads were closed as a result: Kellie Place, Tullibody Road, the A907, and the B906.
But it was later added that more roads would be shut while work was ongoing: Ochil Street from Tullibody Road, Marr Place from Tullibody Road, Claremont from Fenton Street, Parkway from B9096
Are there any injuries?
Police Scotland have confirmed that one man was killed in the blast, while three more were taken to hospital.
Formal identification has yet to take place - the three injured were treated for minor injuries at Forth Valley Royal Hospital.
What happened in the morning?
Police Scotland taped off the scene through the night and returned to monitor it in the morning.

SGN were seen digging up the front of the property, with Police Scotland confirming that gas safety checks would continue.
Residents had been treated to a rest space in Alloa Town Hall before Clackmannanshire Council confirmed all residents had found a place to stay.
What is Clackmannanshire Council saying?
A spokesperson for Clackmannanshire Council said: “Our officers were at Kellie Place, Alloa, last night working with our partners in the emergency services to ensure the area was made safe following reports of an explosion and fire.
“A rest centre for those affected was set up at Alloa Town Hall while gas and electrical work was undertaken onsite, however those affected all managed to find shelter with friends and family overnight.
“Council staff will continue to offer support to those affected if they are unable to return to their homes and continue to be on site today supporting the emergency services.
"Our thoughts remain with everyone affected, especially the family of the resident who tragically lost their life.”
