A FORMER pub in Tillicoultry is set to be converted into new businesses for the area.
The Eagle Inn, which has been closed for some time, has been granted permission to be changed into a dentist and a hot food takeaway.
Clackmannanshire Council approved the proposals on Thursday, September 26 which will see the site, located on 110 High Street, converted into the two businesses, subject to conditions.
Alterations will be made to the exterior of the site, including the formation of a new entrance to accommodate two businesses instead of one.
Installation of a ventilation system will also be carried out due to being a hot food takeaway.
The plans were submitted by local businessman Gagandeep Kahlon, who has set out a plan to divide the old pub in half.
As per the plans, the existing lounge bar at the Eagle Inn would be converted into a dental surgery with two dentist rooms and a reception and waiting area.
Meanwhile, Mr Kahlon has proposed turning the existing public bar and kitchen area into a hot food takeaway.
The dental surgery hours are proposed to be from 8.30am to 6pm Monday to Friday, while the takeaway’s would be 10am to 10pm seven days a week.
The next step is the detailed installation of the ventilation system, which is required before the hot food takeaway can open.
There are currently no details on which kind of food the takeaway will serve.
