A WOMAN was grabbed by the neck during an assault by her abusive partner in Tullibody.
The assailant was 31-year-old Blair Morris, of Church Court, Alloa.
He also threatened the woman on the same day.
Morris appeared at Alloa Sheriff Court for sentencing.
He admitted that on August 24 at Carseview, Tullibody, he assaulted his partner by seizing her by the neck, restricting it.
On the same day at High Street, Alloa, he acted aggressively, shouted and made threats towards his partner.
Depute fiscal Sean Iles said the initial incident occurred at around 5.30am after the couple had been drinking.
Morris grabbed his partner by the neck, squeezing her throat, added the depute.
Later that same day, he saw the woman in the street and shouted, “Are you going to grass on me again? Better watch your back.”
Sheriff Neil Bowie told Morris that any such assault where the victim is grabbed by the neck is very serious.
He imposed a community payback order with 300 hours of unpaid work and 18 months of supervision.
He also imposed a two-year non-harassment order.
