AN ALLOA pub is set to slash prices on beers from around the world during their 12-day annual festival.
The Bobbing John Wetherspoons is set to host the Beer Festival, importing brews from Japan, Canada, New Zealand and the USA.
The Beer Festival is a popular addition to the Clacks social calendar, running from Wednesday, October 9 to Sunday, October 20.
This will see a wide range of beers not previously available at the pub and for as a prices as low as £1.79 a pint.
Sara Murdoch, pub manager, said: “The festival is a great celebration of real ale.
“It will allow us to showcase a selection of superb beers, including those from brewers as far afield as Japan and New Zealand, as well as those closer to home, over a 12-day period.
“All of the beers will be available at great value for money prices.
“The festival will also give our customers the opportunity to enjoy a number of beers which have not previously been available in the pub, as well as those brewed specially for the festival.”
Imported specially for the festival, the Bobbing John will welcome beers such as Red Racer Session, Dinner Ale, Onihime Pale Ale, Who Dat and All Dog Alert from abroad.
Vegan and vegetarian beers will be available as well as a range of beers including coffee and fruit in their ingredients.
Three thirds of a pint tasters will also be available for the price of a pint.
