OFFERS are being heard for the purchase of Alloa’s former police station building, with a closing date now set.
Alloa’s police force relocated to Kilncraigs in 2021, leaving the former station building on the Mars Hill Roundabout dormant.
Police Scotland have now instructed Shepherd Chartered Surveyors to place a closing date of October 2 for any offers to buy the site.
Aleksander Alfer, commercial surveyor at Shepherd, said: “This property presents an exciting opportunity for someone to take on in Alloa’s town centre, offering a range of possibilities for future use.”
The police station was relocated to council headquarters three years ago, with a separate, dedicated entrance being made for Police Scotland.

This was done so that the police force could strengthen and enhance their working relationship with the council.
The station at Kilncraigs is currently open seven days a week from 8am to 6pm.
The police station offers a two-storey building featuring a reception area, office accommodation, restrooms and welfare facilities.
The first floor also contains additional office space, locker rooms, storage and more welfare amenities.
A separate garage is also available for use at the rear of the property.
Shepherd are welcoming offers of more than £330,000, with any interested parties urged to contact the sole selling agent on 01786 450438.
