A TILLICOULTRY rapist breached the sex offenders notification requirements and found himself back in court.
In the dock at Alloa Sheriff Court was 52-year-old Paul Hutchison, of Moss Road, Tillicoultry.
He admitted that between June 4 and July 9 he failed to comply with the notification requirements of the Sex Offenders Act.
He failed to inform police within three days of receiving a new bank card.
Defence solicitor Charlotte Watt said: “This was an honest mistake and simply an error. There was an element of forgetfulness and he extends his apology to the court.”
Sheriff Neil Bowie told Hutchison: “The notifications placed on you are there for good reasons and have a proper purpose.”
He deferred sentencing until January 9 for good behaviour.
In 2018, at the High Court in Glasgow, Hutchison was jailed for six years after he put a tracking device in a woman's car before later raping her.
He fitted a tracking device in her vehicle without her knowledge and then repeatedly pestered her demanding to know where she was.
He went on to rape her at a house in Fife in November 2015.
Hutchison was convicted of both stalking and the rape following a trial.
Hutchison was also put on a 10-year non-harassment order and placed on the sex offenders register indefinitely.
