A SAUCHIE man breached his bail conditions by visiting a woman in hospital having been ordered to stay away from her.
David Nicholson said he was “trying to do the right thing” but was hit with a fine when he appeared at Alloa Sheriff Court.
Nicholson, 51, of Quarry Place, admitted he breached bail conditions on July 26 when at Forth Valley Royal Hospital, Larbert, he was in contact with a female having been ordered not to do so.
Depute fiscal Sarah Smith said a nurse saw Nicholson entering the ward to visit the woman.
She was aware bail conditions had been imposed to prevent this and so contacted the police.

Nicholson later told police the woman had sent him a text message asking him to take fresh clothing and supplies to her.
He said: “I was trying to do the right thing. This is what happens when you try to help people. I think I’m being victimised.”
Sheriff Garry Sutherland fined Nicholson £290.
