TEN new electric vehicle chargers could be coming to Alloa, should a planning application be approved.
A request, submitted by CM Estates, proposes five dual chargers, a substation kiosk, solar canopy and 10 parking bays nearby.
Dual chargers are able to power two vehicles at once, providing space for 10 electric cars to be charged under the plans.
The charging stations have been proposed for Old Russell’s Yard on Clackmannan Road, which would place them adjacent to a site earmarked for use as a restaurant with a drive thru.

Previously, Burger King launched an application to build a restaurant there, but the application was withdrawn following five public objections to the proposals.
The EV charging site would be built on part of the site currently occupied by Auto Dismantlers Alloa Ltd, across the street from Morrison’s.
The application was submitted towards the end of July, with a decision expected to be made in due course.
