THE site of a former bank in Alva is set to be converted into flats after planning permission was granted.
An application, submitted to Clackmannanshire Council’s planning department in May, sought permission for the former Bank of Scotland site to be transported into two new homes.
The former Bank of Scotland site, located on 148 West Stirling Street, closed in 2017 and has lain dormant ever since.
The planning application was approved by the council, subject to two conditions – the first being that the development must begin within the next three years.
The second condition called for details on the position, design and method of opening a proposed steel gate to access the car park outside the building.
