A SAUCHIE care home has been named runner up in a summer gardening competition.
Hillview Court, managed by the Aria Care Group, finished second in the in-house competition, out of 50 participating care homes.
Aria Care Group launched their Aria in Bloom initiative to promote welcoming and vibrant outdoor spaces for their residents across the country.
This encouraged care homes under their label to improve and show off their garden spaces, with judges ranking each home.
Hillview Court finished second in the nation-wide competition, earning themselves a £100 voucher as a reward.
Laura Davidson, home manager at Hillview Court, said: “We are absolutely thrilled to have been selected as runner up.
“Our residents, colleagues and volunteers worked extremely hard to create a relaxing garden for our residents to enjoy with their families.
“We look forward to continuing to use our garden for the many activities we have planned in Hillview Court.”
The competition saw 50 communities across Aria’s brand participate and create stunning environments for residents and families to enjoy.
At Hillview Court, they invested in new planters and hanging baskets, which now decorate the outside of the home.
A sensory garden has also been created, which allows residents to spend more time outside and enjoy unlocking all of their senses.
Hillview Court provides nursing care in Sauchie, specialising in dementia care. Anyone interested in more information on the care home or the Aria Care Group should visit ariacare.co.uk/find-a-home/hillview-court-in-sauchie.
