A CLACKS man's abusive behaviour towards his former partner after their relationship ended has landed him with unpaid work.
Owen McCormick, now of Shearsdale Drive, Coalsnaughton, appeared for sentencing at Alloa Sheriff Court.
He previously admitted that on December 9, at Johnson Crescent, Tillicoultry, he acted aggressively, shouted, swore, made offensive remarks and threats of violence towards his former partner and threw a stack of plates causing them to smash.
Depute fiscal Sean Iles said the couple had been in a relationship for 18 years but had separated around six months before the offence.
They had continued to live in the same house following the break-up and an argument had broken out on this occasion.
McCormick, 44, called the woman various offensive names, smashed plates and then left the house.
He then phoned her and left voicemail messages, verbally abusing her.
He also made a threat, saying: "Make your choice because I'm coming after you if you dinnae."
Sheriff Mark O'Hanlon imposed a community payback order with 100 hours of unpaid work.
A non-harassment order lasting a year was imposed at a previous hearing.
