A HILLWALKER had to be helped by members of the Ochils Mountain Rescue Team after sustaining an injury near Alva.
Members of the OMRT were dispatched after receiving a call that a walker had suffered a leg injury on a hill near the town on Wednesday, July 31.
A party, complete with team medics, was deployed to assess the casualty’s injuries and to provide pain relief during the rescue.
Other members of the team then brought a rescue stretcher up the hill, with the casualty safely secured and taken down the hill.
This was the second call out in the space of a week for the OMRT, who were also dispatched to assist the Tweet Valley Mountain Rescue Team over the weekend.
Nine team members attended a medical incident in the Pentland hills, helping their colleagues and the Scottish Ambulance Service to bring the casualty down from the hill.
The OMRT paid their thanks to the Hillend Ski Centre for transporting some team members up the hill on their ski lift to save time.
