A DISCOUNT variety store in Alloa is celebrating its new ownership with a three-day event offering customers the chance to win free shopping.

With Poundstretcher under new management, the store is hosting the three-day weekend event from Friday, August 2.

Customers who shop in store over the weekend will have a chance to win a £10 shopping voucher every hour.

Shoppers will be randomly selected using the in-store radio system.

Andy Atkinson, incoming CEO at Poundstretcher, said: "Under new ownership and new leadership Poundstretcher is changing fast, whilst we’re just getting started, the feedback from customers on our price cuts and new brands has been great.

The event takes place starting on Friday and continuing until Sunday, August 4.
