AN ALLOA woman sped away from police during a car chase.
Taylor McMahon, of Greenfield Street, appeared in the dock at Alloa Sheriff Court to be sentenced for a series of offending.
McMahon was banned from driving, given unpaid work and a 'tag'.
She admitted that on November 3, at Church Street, Alloa, she drove when unfit through drink or drugs.
On November 4, at Church Street, she was in possession of cocaine.
The 21-year-old also admitted that on April 1, on the A907 west from Marywood roundabout to Parkmill roundabout and elsewhere in Clackmannanshire, she drove a car dangerously.
She failed to stop when instructed to do so by police in a marked vehicle.
During a pursuit with police, who had activated their siren and blue lights, she drove at speeds in excess of the limits.
She repeatedly overtook in the face of oncoming vehicles.
The court heard the police pursuit lasted almost eight miles and ended when McMahon got stuck behind other vehicles at traffic lights.
Defence solicitor Kelly Howe said her client was "in self-destruct mode" at the time as a result of heavy drugs misuse and keeping the company of a "a very poor peer group".
Sheriff Neil Bowie imposed a community payback order with 150 hours of unpaid work and 18 months of supervision.
McMahon was also put on 200-day restriction of liberty order. She was banned from driving for two years and until she passes the extended test.
