Fantastic opportunities are still on offer for school leavers and new students to snap up a place on a cutting edge, full-time Forth Valley College course starting in August 2024, at all three of our campuses in Alloa, Falkirk and Stirling.
Anyone hoping to choose and apply for a course will be delighted to know that we have places available in courses across all three teaching departments: Care, Sport, Business and Communities; Creative, Digital and Leisure Industries; and STEM and Construction.
You could be a school leaver eager to push on and enter a trade or someone who realised that school was not for them and are keen to flourish in further education. If you are, then FVC wants to hear from you.
So if you want to study science or engineering at our Falkirk Campus it is good to know we are one of Scotland’s leading STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths) colleges with our numerous strong industry links.
The Engineering and Science Department has created state-of-the-art training facilities which allow us to offer innovative integrated degree programmes in this field linked to: the University of Strathclyde, Heriot-Watt University, and Edinburgh Napier University. Added to that we also provide training to approximately 1000 Modern Apprentices (MAs) every year in everything from engineering to construction.
Care, Sport, Business and Communities courses can also be found at the Falkirk Campus – opened in 2020 – and is arguably one of the best learning facilities to be found anywhere in Scotland.
Computing courses are another area of expertise at our Falkirk Campus and the skills our students learn in this area, will put them at the forefront of the challenge of cyber security in the UK in the years to come.
At our Stirling Campus perhaps you could serve up a new career for yourself by applying for a course in Hospitality, as our classy Gallery training restaurant - which is open to the public – educates the next generation of chefs and front of house staff.
Creative Industries are also particularly strong at Stirling with state-of-the-art facilities and an integrated BA degree in Art and Design, in partnership with the University of Stirling, the area of the College curriculum is developing a much respected reputation across the country.
Business courses are a speciality at our Alloa Campus and we are confident we will have exactly what you are looking for, as you look to start your career path from scratch or enhance your existing skills.
To cap it all the college works closely with a wide range of partners to ensure we are delivering opportunities which meet the needs of learners, employers, local industry and national skill agendas – in short we are Making Learning Work in everything that we do and we want to help you choose a course that works for you.
