THE WEE COUNTY has joined a list of fashion hotspots around the globe after its name appeared on jumpers produced by a Japanese clothing brand.

Clackmannanshire jumpers, sold on the website of Japanese brand, SHOO-LA-RUE, appeared alongside various other Scottish council areas.

Bearing similarities to the New York City and Paris jumpers that are sold in the United Kingdom, the clothing range appears to be quite popular in Japan.

Clackmannanshire features on a navy blue t-shirt with the council name in large lettering above an illustration of a boulevard.

Underneath the drawing, the t-shirt features the phrase ‘Clarity precedes success’, a phrase believed to be coined by Canadian leadership expert and bestselling author Robin Sharma.

The clothing also has ‘Since 1974’ written along the sides of the boulevard illustration.

Photos of the clothing range appeared on X, formerly known as Twitter, by Scottish football account Scotland’s Coefficient.

The account shared photos of the clothing range, stating: “Fascinated by this. Japanese people wearing t-shirts adorned with random Scottish areas & towns, with dates of seemingly no relevance.”

Clacks wasn’t the only council area to be features, with jumpers and t-shirts featuring West Lothian, Falkirk and North Lanarkshire.

A t-shirt also exists which features both Falkirk and West Lothian, separated by the year 1879.

There is also a white t-shirt for sale via the website which features the Tesco slogan Every Little Helps.
