AN ALLOA man has been jailed for struggling violently with police officers before making “vile” comments about their families.

Sean Akande, 36, of Bowhouse Gardens, appeared at Alloa Sheriff Court by video-link from prison.

He admitted that on April 3 at Arran Court, Alloa, he resisted two police officers and struggled violently with them.

Then at Arran Court, within a police vehicle and at Falkirk police station, he shouted, swore and acted aggressively.

He made threats to kill police officers, made threats of sexual violence against family members of the officers, made further threats of violence and racial remarks.

He also made offensive sexual comments, homophobic remarks and offensive political comments.

He further admitted that at Arran Court he threatened two police officers with sexual violence.

Defence solicitor Kelly Howe said her client had “mental health issues” and came from a “difficult background”.

She added: “There was an element of intoxication on this day.”

Sheriff Neil Bowie told Akande: “Police do a difficult job and the conduct directed at them was disgraceful. It was protracted and followed on from a violent struggle.
