THERE was an impressive standard on display as young people in the Wee County took part in an annual soft archery competition.
The sport and leisure team at Clackmannanshire Council worked with volunteers from Wee County Archers to host the competition at Alva Academy, where 25 children from P4-7 took part.
Competing in two mixed categories, P4-5 and P6-7, the young people showcased impressive skills with many bullseyes scored.
Taylor Knox came out on top in P4-5, followed by Keon McIntosh and Eleyes Ait Belhana.
In P6-7, the gold medal went to Eilidh Hume, with Jacob Homs Canalias earning silver and Oliver McPherson taking the third spot on the podium.
Medals were presented by Robert Clark from Scottish Archery.
The P4-5 competition was a straight shoot-out with the winner accumulating 107 points.
In the older age group, the competition started with qualifier rounds leading to a shoot-off with the top four scorers.
Winner Eilidh scored an impressive 148 points.

Soft archery is a priority sport within the council’s Active Schools programme with fresh opportunities being rolled out in 2024-25.
Wee County Archers also offer sessions for P4-7 children to further develop their skills.
