AN ALLOA school celebrated 10 years since it opened with its hugely popular summer fete.

Redwell Primary, and associated ELC, is marking a decade since it first opened its doors in 2014.

As part of the celebrations, the Redwell Parent Council threw its yearly summer fete, drawing in large crowds to play some games and meet the fan-favourite alpacas.

The alpacas have been a mainstay of the fete since it started in 2022 and are always a surefire hit with visitors.

Entertainment was provided on the day by local clubs and businesses including Clarissa Rose Highland Dance, Judo Club Esprit, Alba Performing Arts School and Just Dance Elite Dance Centre Sauchie.

The event was sponsored by a whole host of local businesses, with O’Malley Property the main sponsor, the full list of which can be found on the Redwell Primary School & ELC – Parent Council Facebook page.

A spokesperson for the Redwell Parent Council said: “Thank you so much to every single person who attended our summer fete yesterday.

“We made an amazing amount of money for the school and we can’t wait to work with the pupils, staff and families to decide how it should be spent in the new academic year.

“We want to thank O’Malley Property for their amazing support. Thank you to the school staff and families who gave up their time to plan and run this event.

“Thank you to the school staff and families who gave up their time to plan and run this event. And to the amazing Police Scotland volunteers who always come to support us and do an absolutely amazing job!”

The school will have many more events planned to celebrate their 10th anniversary before the official birthday is marked on September 30.

Redwell PS was officially opened by Keith Brown MSP and Cllr Ellen Forson, who served as education convener at that time.
