A major supermarket has issued a warning to shoppers over 'a possible health risk.'
Tesco is recalling its Nutty Nougat Caramel Chocolate Bars Multipack and its
Dreamy Caramel Chocolate Bars Multipack after they were found to contain peanuts, which has not been declared on the label.
The Food Standards Agency (FSA) says the products present a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy to peanuts.
The affected products are the Nutty Nougat Caramel Chocolate Bars Multipack which contains 6 40g bars and have a best before February 28 2025.
The warning also includes the Tesco Dreamy Caramel Chocolate Bars Multipack containing 6 40g bars, and which have a best before date January 31 2025 or 28 February 2025.
In an allergy alert, issued on Saturday, June 7, The FSA said: "If you have bought the above products do not eat them.
"Instead, return them to any Tesco store for a full refund. For more information contact Tesco Customer Services on 0800 505 555.
"Tesco is recalling the above products from customers and has been advised to contact the relevant allergy support organisations, which will tell their members about the recall.
"The company has also issued a recall notice to its customers. These notices explain to customers why the product is being recalled and tell them what to do if they have bought the product."
