A BAFTA-nominated comedian will be touching down in the Wee County as he brings his show to an Alloa pub.
Darren Connell, best known for his role in the BBC comedy series Scot Squad, will be headlining a show at The Royal Oak next month.
The comedian will be the frontrunner during Substate, with four other big names set to share the stage with him.
Set for Saturday, July 6, Jack Traynor will be first to entertain the Alloa crowd, fresh from his recent feature in The Scotts.
Following him is regular comedy club headliner Mick McNeil, who is set to take on the Edinburgh Fringe later this summer as well.
Up next, and making his debut for Substate, is Mikey Motion, who has performed regular sell out shows in recent years.
Lastly, Mick Murphy, one of the most exciting up and comers in the comedy world, will entertain the crowd before Darren takes the stage.
Event organisers Substate have been hard at work preparing for next month’s event and are looking forward to giving Alloa a laugh they won’t forget.
Brian Aitken, of Substate Events, said: “It’s great to see big names willing to help us bring the ever-growing comedy scene in Scotland to areas where the scene is lacking, giving people an option to see a top quality show with their partners or friends rather than a standard night out.”
Substate are also putting on a similar event in Slanj-A-Va in Stirling, with comedic giants MC Hammersmith, Mikey Motion, Jack Traynor, Cobin Millage and Lauren Steven set to take the stage on July 20.
Tickets are available via substate.co.uk.
