TALENTED young people from the Wee County have been crowned champions at a glee competition in the central region, thanks to their exquisite harmonies.
The glee choir from Tillicoultry Primary School won the championships for the region at the Frisson Foundation Glee Challenge.
Held at the Albert Halls in Stirling on Thursday, May 9, the event saw eight schools from across the central belt vying for glee glory.
Team Tilly Glee, made up of pupils from P4 to P7, performed two songs – Major Tom (Coming Home) by Shiny Toy Guns as well as Neverland from Finding Neverland the Musical.
Judges commended the young people for their exceptional teamwork and the exquisite harmonies they effortlessly produced.
Their emotional performances moved many tears and ultimately brought the trophy home to the Wee County.
The children were led by Fiona Duncan, Elisabeth Forrest and Aislinn Cassidy who, along with headteacher Louise Thomas, are very proud of the choir’s success.
Team Tilly Glee will be looking to shine even brighter at the upcoming Scottish final at Dundee’s Caird Hall on June 23.
