A 54-year-old Tullibody man breached a bail order the day after it was imposed.
As a result, Dariuz Gawel, of Stirling Road, has been handed a jail sentence.
He appeared at Alloa Sheriff Court by video-link from prison.
He was found guilty after a trial and a translator was in court to assist Gawel during the sentencing.
He was convicted of a charge that having been granted bail on February 27, he breached the conditions the next day by attempting to make a video call to his ex-partner on Facebook.
Sheriff Neil Bowie jailed Gawel for six months and imposed a non-harassment order for a year.
