AN ALLOA church is set to go up for sale, with a live-streamed auction to go ahead for potential buyers.
The United Free Church, on 76 Drysdale Street in the town, is one of two UF churches that will be going up for auction next month.
The church, valued at around £75,000 with the additional hall, is suitable for alternative use, subject to planning consent.
The auction will be managed by Sheperd and is set to go ahead on Thursday, June 20 at 2.30pm.
Alasdair McConnell, commercial surveyor at Shepherd, said: “This C-listed building has Class 10 (non-residential institutions) for its existing use and may suit alternative uses subject to obtaining all necessary planning consents.”
The former church has a rear extension which was previously used as a church hall. There is also an open plan worship area on the ground floor, with a full gallery positioned on the first floor.
To the rear are administrative offices, an open plan church hall, kitchen and toilet facilities.
The auction of the former UF church comes following the successful sales of three UF churches last year.
Churches in Shawlands, Boddam and Gorebridge were auctioned off at the tail end of last year, prompting sales to begin for the Alloa site and also a building in Ayr.
The former UF church and hall in Newton-on-Ayr will be joining the Alloa site at auction, with that one at a starting price of £88,000.
