WEE COUNTY musicians are urged to apply to a competition aimed at young, emerging talent.
Organised by the Clackmannan District Brass Band, school pupils from S1 to S6 are encouraged to apply for the title of Scottish Young Musician Junior and Senior Solo Performers of the Year.
The competition is open to any high school pupil who plays a musical instrument – and is open to any instrument, not just brass.
The Clackmannan and District Brass Band has partnered with the Music Education Partnership Group in delivering the competition, which will be held at Lornshill Academy in Alloa on Sunday, May 5.
The finalists will then move onto the final, set to be held at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland on Sunday, May 26.
Anyone wishing to enter has until Sunday, April 28 and can enter by emailing either entries@clackmannanbrass.co.uk or maemurray@scottishyoungmusicians.com.
