MOUNTAIN rescuers were called into action to rescue a dog which had fallen down a gorge in Alva.
Hamish the dog is said to be "no worse off" after his adventure on Friday.
Posting on Facebook, the Ochils Mountain Rescue Team said they received a call to assist a dog in the Alva area.
"Following discussions with the police, the team deployed to assist to ensure that no one else would be put at risk trying to rescue the dog," they stated.

"A team member abseiled into the gorge to secure the dog and make him safe while other team members set up a technical rope rescue system to then send another team member down and bring all three back up to safety.
"The dog walker did exactly the right thing by asking for assistance and we are delighted to report that Hamish is no worse off for his morning adventure.
“If you find yourself in difficulty on the hills or in outdoor spaces dial 999, ask for police then mountain rescue.”
