A CLACKMANNANSHIRE veteran and his family will be able to reminisce about his late wife thanks to a memorial bench.
Forth Valley Men's Shed and Wee County Veterans teamed up to present Clacks veteran Joe Farrell with a bench in memory of his late wife Margaret.
Joe is a senior member of the support group Wee County Veterans, who regularly meet at Sauchie Resource Centre, while Margaret was a staunch supporter of the group for many years.
The bench will be place at the rear of Joe's house at Paton Court in Alloa where he, his family and neighbours, will be able to come together to reminisce and share their memories of Margaret.
Jo Wilkinson, of Wee County Veterans, was delighted to have been able to present the bench recently.
Forth Valley Men's Shed, in Alloa, has worked closely with the veterans' group in recent years, making souvenirs and other items for those who served in the armed forces.
Jo said: “Margaret was an extremely staunch supporter of Wee County Veterans and Joe Farrell has been with the group for quite a number of years, he is one of our senior members.
“We were extremely happy to present Joe and his family with the bench.”
Meanwhile, Wee County Veterans will be holding an open day this weekend on Saturday, April 13.
All military veterans are being invited to Sauchie Resource Centre on the day from 1pm to 4pm with tea, coffee, biscuits, cake and more on offer along with a chance to learn about the group and its activities.
