A HILL walker was stretchered off to an ambulance after suffering an injury near the summit of Dumyat this week.
Volunteers from Ochils Mountain Rescue Team (OMRT) were called out to the popular hill by police in the early afternoon on Wednesday, March 6, to provide assistance.
Medics from the team worked with an ambulance crew to assess the casualty and provide pain relief after the hill walker got into difficulty.
A statement from OMRT added: “The casualty was then packaged in our stretcher and carried off the hill to the awaiting ambulance.
“If you find yourself in difficulty on the hill or in remote places dial 999, ask for the police then mountain rescue.
“As always, we wish the casualty a speedy recovery.”
The team received praise on social media from the injured hill walker, who sent a message of thanks through her contacts.
One said: “She wants to offer so much thanks and praise to all involved.
“She said that the support she was given was outstanding, so professional and caring.
“What an amazing bunch of people. Thank you.”
OMRT has a volunteer team of around 35 mountaineers with specialist training, visit omrt.org.uk for more.
