A HIT west end musical will be making its way to Alloa next week.
The Alloa Musical Players will be performing the musical Sister Act, with the show going ahead at the Town Hall.
Hot off the heels of their success during their rendition of Littler Shop of Horrors, the all local cast will now bring to life the story of Deloris Van Cartier.
Van Cartier is an aspiring singer from Philadelphia who witnesses a murder and is put into witness protection in a convent.
This in turn leads to an unexpected change of fortunes for the convent.
Sister Act is based on the hit 1992 film starring Whoopi Goldberg and will feature a soundtrack of Motown-inspired songs for the audience to enjoy.
A spokesperson for the Alloa Musical Players said: “Alloa Musical Players have been performing in Clackmannanshire for more than 70 years, bringing a wide range of musical theatre offerings to the Wee County.
“The company is open to anyone with an interest in performing, regardless of experience.
“The company would like to thank everyone who has come together to make the show happen, and the wider community that has supported the show through sponsorship, donations, promotion and words of encouragement.
“We can’t wait to welcome you along next week.”
Sister Act will be performed in Alloa Town Hall from Wednesday, March 13, to Saturday, March 16.
Tickets are still available but there is only a limited availability for Friday and Saturday performances.
They are available from Gordon R McFarlane Jewellers in Alloa or from ticketsource.co.uk/alloamusicalplayers.
